Our bodies are amazing at detoxing naturally, but with today's world full of environmental toxins, it's helpful to give your system a little extra support. I'm all about gentle approaches that feel good and fit easily into everyday life. Here's how I keep my body feeling balanced and energised — and how I support my clients to also.

Why Detox?
From pollution to pesticides, plastics to heavy metals, we're constantly exposed to toxins that can overwhelm our systems. Over time, this toxic load can leave us feeling sluggish, foggy, or bloated, and it can also lead to more serious health issues. A gentle detox helps your body purge out these harmful substances without the stress of extreme cleanses. By supporting your detox pathways daily, you can feel more energised, balanced, and clear-headed — without turning your life upside down. Remember gentle over perfect!
My Gentle Detox Routine
Morning Lemon Water
Starting the day with warm water and fresh lemon helps flush toxins, supports digestion, and hydrates your body after sleep. Bonus: it’s a lovely morning ritual that feels calming and intentional.
Dry Brushing
Before showering, I use a dry brush to stimulate my lymphatic system, improve circulation, and exfoliate my skin. It’s energizing and takes just a few minutes.
Herbal Teas
Dandelion, nettle, and milk thistle teas are my go-tos for liver support and reducing inflammation. Plus, they’re comforting and easy to sip throughout the day.
Liver Love
I use supplements like NAC and lipsomal glutathione to support my liver system — our detox superstar! I also focus on foods like cruciferous veggies, and turmeric to keep things flowing. If you can tolerate oxalates beets can be good.
Breathwork and Relaxation
Emotional toxins are just as real as physical ones. I use breathwork, somatic relaxation techniques, and sound healing (hello, crystal bowls!) to release stress and restore balance.
Movement and Stretching
Gentle movement — like pilates, stretching, or a short walk — keeps my lymphatic system flowing and helps clear stagnant energy.
Sweating It Out
Sweating out toxins is easier in the summer but in the winter months things like the sauna or gently working up a sweat through exercise can really help the body purge.
Filtered WaterHydration is key, and I make sure my water is filtered to reduce contaminants. I aim for at least 2L a day to keep everything moving. See my shop for my water rituals.
Red Light Therapy
I love using red light therapy to support my mitochondria, boost circulation, and promote cellular repair. It’s great for reducing inflammation and enhancing detox pathways.
Clean Products
My home and personal care products for natural, non-toxic alternatives. Fewer chemicals in = less burden on my body.

Tips for an Easy Detox
Start small: Pick 1 or 2 new habits and build from there.
Listen to your body: Gentle detox should feel supportive, not stressful.
Stay consistent: It’s those simple, daily steps that make the biggest impact.
Try it daily, or a gentle detox for a month, or you can use these tips to prepare for a deeper detox/cleanse protocol.
I usually combine this with functional medicine tests so I can use targetted supplemental support, such as a gut microbiome test, Metabolomix+, OATs etc.
